Some of FluentU’s articles are good – most are not. Their clickbait articles can be easily recognized by titles with words like, “Mindblowing”, “Fantastic”, “Stupendous” and they cover just about every topic related to the languages they offer. I can honestly say its definitely worth the money - but a free trial is a free trial and you shouldn't be charged. Really would be 5 star if the payment thing gets fixed, such a shame something so silly would let them down. Luckily my bank declined it, but if the charge HAD gone through I would have been too angry to have enjoyed the app! And 0.5 stars knocked off because the subtitles are too close to the progress bar, so when saving a word sometimes I end up skipping ahead, which is a nuisance. 1.5 stars are taken because though they said it was a 7 day free trial, but charged my card the annual subscription of $71.99 as soon as I registered. With those languages could hold a conversation probably in 3-4 months. I'm familiar with Spanish, but to test the concept, tried it in Japanese and Russian (two languages I know NOTHING about) and picked up words rather quickly. It's 5 stars on concept! I learned 150 words in an hour! Really into the show I'm watching, and have never understood grammar so quickly! If I keep up the pace, I could be fluent in 8-10 weeks. Whether you're a student, professional, or anyone in need of the services offered by Lingopie, you won't be disappointed. The team's dedication to their users, along with the impressive features and user-friendly design of the website, make it an exceptional choice. In summary, I wholeheartedly recommend Lingopie. The website has already proven to be immensely valuable in enhancing my studies of Japanese. The interface is intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy for me to find the information and tools I needed for my studies. Their prompt response time and unwavering support left a lasting impression on me. When I realized that I wouldn't be able to continue with the subscription after the free trial, the team at Lingopie went out of their way to assist me in the best possible manner. One aspect that truly stood out to me was the exceptional level of customer support. Not only does the website offer a plethora of useful features, but the team behind it also goes above and beyond to accommodate their users. I recently tried out the free trial of Lingopie and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. And Lingopie added some great Netflix shows so it's a lot of fun!

The shows on lingopie are more like of the quality you can expect of a public tv station, not really anything like Netflix in my opinion. This will cost you the additional subscription but I believe this is worth it for most people.

One sidenote, is that you should consider to take Netflix as well to enjoy Lingopie combined with amazing shows like Casa de Papel for Spanish. I wrote this review not because of any email or request, but just because they are great and I believe more people should know about this. It can be intense at time because the quizes and reviews require your focus, so don't expect 100% relaxing tv, but you will improve your language like crazy. I definitely couldn't do this one week ago. I'm surprised I can already text my Spanish friend without a lot of effort.
